Running in Circles

3 notes

My attmepts at being cultured tonight were foiled by overzealous safety features.

The fire alarm went off in the middle of “The Rite of Spring” by Stravinski at Boston Symphony hall tonight. This was my first show at symphony, and I was really excited to feel cultured for once. But about halfway through the first movement in Rite of Spring, the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the building. I still don’t know what happened to set off the alarm, but the show never started up again. My friend and I walked home complaining bitterly the whole time.

I mean seriously when does that actually happen???? It was like murphy’s law on steroids.
